지난 4월 15일, 미국화학회 150주년 기념 JACS 심포지엄이 제주도에서 개최되었다.

IBS 나노의학연구단장 천진우 교수는 미국화학회 저널(JACS)의 부편집장으로서 메인 강연을 진행했다.
천진우 교수는 17년간 미국화학회의 Account of Chemical Research(ACR) 시니어 에디터, JACS 부편집장으로 활동하며 화학 분야 연구 발전에 기여해오고 있다.

이번 심포지엄에는 Omar Yaghi 교수(2025년 노벨상 수상자), Erick Carreira 교수(JACS 편집장) 등 세계적 석학들이 한자리에 모였으며,
천진우 교수는 한국 화학자를 대표하여 참석한 뜻깊은 시간이었다.

On April 15, the JACS Symposium celebrating the 150th anniversary of the American Chemical Society (ACS) was held in Jeju, Korea.

Prof. Jinwoo Cheon, Director of the IBS Center for Nanomedicine, delivered a keynote lecture as an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).
He has served as an editor for ACS-related journals for 17 years, contributing to the advancement of research in the field of chemistry.

The symposium brought together world-renowned scholars, including Prof. Omar Yaghi (2025 Nobel Laureate) and Prof. Erick Carreira (Editor-in-Chief of JACS).
It was a meaningful occasion, with Prof. Cheon representing the Korean scientific community at this distinguished global gathering.
